PWF Animal Policy Update- Effective 1 December 2022

Dear Residents, 

The Properties at Wright Field is committed to providing exceptional living experiences for all residents and working with our WPAFB MHO and other Air Force partners. Since 2002, PWF has been very fortunate to offer a “no breed restriction” dog policy at The Prairies and The Woods; however, effective 1 December 2022, we will be adopting the Air Force Instruction to mirror all other privatized military housing communities.  

Effective 1 December, Restricted Dog Breeds will include Pit Bull (American Staffordshire Bull Terrier or English Staffordshire Bull Terrier), Rottweiler, Doberman Pinscher, Chow and wolf hybrids.  Prohibition also extends to other breeds of dogs or individual dogs that demonstrate or are known to demonstrate a propensity for dominant or aggressive behavior.

Residents living at PWF that currently have dog/s of these breeds that are known to management will be grandfathered, so long as their animal is already documented in their resident file.
